This is the first time I have used this AAA for a DMV issue. I was coming from work and tired. Kristy the teller that helped me was so wonderful and professional, each time I saw her. I did something wrong in filling the out paperwork. When I realize it went back the next day. She was so kind and helpful in fixing it. We’ve been members for over 17 years. l appreciate wonderful Customer Service and that’s exactly what I got from Kristy. Thank you
I called in today to ask for a quote on an auto policy. they guy sounded very annoyed since the beginning. I asked him to give me different options (depending on the deductible) and I could feel his eyes rolling in the back. At the end I thank him and told him I'd call back in case I couldn't find a begger rate..I couldn't even finish my sentence when he hang up on me. Never in my life have I experienced such a rude attitude from someone. AAA please train your people to do better and to treat people with respect. We are trying to do business with you. Be more compassionate.
Giving a shout out to D. Garcia from AAA who came to are rescue when our car broke down. His customer service was excellent and he was very nice and helpful. My husband and I appreciate his help and knowledge of what to do to. Thank you! 😊

I have been a member for 25 years. I have worked for AAA as a call receiver, dispatcher and radio dispatcher. No one I knew while working at AAA would have ever treated a customer the way I was treated by the CSR on October 15th last week in the AAA Oceanside office. It would have been grounds for immediate termination. I had a terrible DMV mix-up that was not my fault and I just needed advice/guidance on how to handle it. My boyfriend was with me and said the CSR was treating me like an old lady with Alzheimer's. I explained my situation, of which she had no interest in hearing. The CSR asked me several times if I was sure I had mailed the Title certified mail and each time I answered, yes I had. The last time she asked me and I answered yes, she literally said to me, "I don't think you did." A customer service rep was calling me a liar to my face! I can't believe this woman has a job dealing with customers.
I went home and found the tracking number, and verified that it had been received by the DMV Processing Center in Sacramento on 9/20. The next day, I spoke to somebody on the phone at the DMV in Sacramento who advised me that the "DMV was behind in processing." The DMV woman was very kind and able to provide customer service correctly and efficiently.
I have been in customer service, including at AAA and I would never, NEVER treat anyone the way that the woman from Member Services treated me. I've never registered a complaint before now, but this woman was so rude and arrogant. I don't know how she has a job in customer service when she calls a customer a liar to their face.
I will never go to the Oceanside AAA office again. I would suggest to anybody that goes there and gets Layla to wait for the next available representative.
She showed me nothing but disrespect, contempt and rudeness. Anybody who knows me will verify that I am kind to absolutely everybody, whether I know them or not. If I could give that CSR some of my excess empathy I would, but I doubt she even understands the word. Layla showed a complete lack of empathy. All of the drivers that I have encountered as a member, as a customer and when I was a dispatcher have been very kind and very thorough. I am still very upset at the way I was treated but I don't want it to reflect on everyone at that branch or AAA.

Went there for help with making a trip with less than 2 weeks notice and unclear on what to do, and Jennifer was super helpful. We were out of there in 20 minutes, including payment. She was so great to work with that we now booked a Disneyland package with her as well, and she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, making recommendations based on our needs and wants. Thank you!

Walked in a little unsure of what I was doing but luckily I was helped by Carter! He was so helpful and explained everything with detail and made me feel comfortable.

On Google it said their hours were 8. AM in the morning, I drove all the way over there and then when I get there. The sign says for services 9 AM. Then it had another sign that says after hours phone numbers. What a waste of time, gasoline and energy? And I was going there to get a disability placard. After having had surgery hadn't been able to drive and the yknee is in such pain that I can't hardly stand it. I had a full l knee replacement 06/13 2024. So you can see how long it has been that I have been suffering.
So if you need a temporary placard after your surgery, please ask the doc.They're to give it to you the information before the surgery. The morning I went in for the surgery. I had to go upstairs to the office to get the paper to fill out for the d. M, v the doctors already signed his portion. And I had to sign mine to get a temporary disability placard
So don't count on people to give you what you need for the post ups.Items ask questions, ask questions, ask questions.

Very rude lady. You occasionally run into some bad workers, but put them into a position where they don’t have to interact with people.
We live close to this AAA And for that reason, there have been a number of times that we have tried to go there
We have always been treated rudely by each person we encountered
We went yesterday to plan our lifelong trip as we are nearing 70 years old and have never traveled out of this continent
We chose to go to Italy the girl we had said she lived there for four years and would help us make decisions
She ended up scaring us about even traveling to Italy and renting a car
(Not Cool )
Talking to people, who have been there and knowing who we are as people, we feel confident that we would be able To create
A trip to Italy that would be fit to our taste and our disabilities
However
She like every other person we have ever counted there over the last six years Did exactly the opposite that we were hoping for
We have never had the same experience in the San Marcos office where they have always helped us are the other offices throughout San Diego that we have Visited
I don't know why or who runs this particular AAA office
For so many years no matter where we lived in this country ...

We were treated without any help and told that we needed to go home and do some more homework because obviously we haven't figured it out enough On our own

Typically have a great experience here but today with my registration renewal the lady with the short curly black hair was terrible. Rude and couldn’t tell me why there was “extra charges” on her end of my renewal. Also didn’t count my money out to me and had no name tag. If you hate your job don’t work there everyone at aaa is typically great here been a member about a decade what a horrible experience at 9 am thanks lady!

They'll invade your privacy in order to jack up the monthly rate of your auto insurance! I never bother to do the verified odometer reading each year when it's time to renew my policy since the amount I drive can change from year to year. This year it's gone up due to working two jobs now in order to keep up with the skyrocketing cost of living. Especially since my partner also lost his, I'm having to pay for everything!
I got a letter from them saying they use public government records such as smog checks from the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) to verify the accuracy of odometer readings. It was only because of some California law called Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act that required them to send me a notice saying they used those records to find out the amount of miles on my car and used that information to increase the annual mileage rating on this year's auto policy renewal. As a result, the minimum monthly amount I have to pay has increased. WELL EXCUSE ME FOR HAVING TO WORK TWO DAMN JOBS NOW IN ORDER TO PAY ALL THE BILLS!!! NOW THIS ONE HAS GONE UP EVEN MORE LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE HAS! IT'S INSULTING AND FEELS LIKE A SLAP IN THE FACE!

The lady who helped me had an awful attitude. She didn’t give me back all of my paperwork and when I asked for it she said she didn’t have it but didn’t even look to see if it was left behind.
Been on auto pay for 9 years now, bill was around 380 for a while, recently AAA decided to turn our auto pay off and charge $200 extra a month, we caught this 3 months ago.
Contacted people working at this office, was assured the auto pay problem would be fixed and our account would be pro-rated a few months ahead we were over charged. Wife went in today to confirm that the situation was resolved, instead was not helped at all. Was told to Pay up $700 the going insurance rate without any of our discounts added in, then, they would fix it.
Needless to say, they are losing a long time customer of car and home insurance from substandard customer service.
I'm sure it is a scam to just increase revenue and see who catches it, or price gouging behind the veil of inflation.

Two starts because the employees were very friendly. However, it would have been a ONE or a ZERO star review because the reason for this post was either a BIG mistake or a scam. Like an almost $300 dollar difference mistake!!
I went with my friend Michael to this location to remove a 150cc scooter from Non-op. Our paper from the dmv said $130 for registration. AAA said it would be $426. And that we’d have to pay two years because we were taking the scooter off non-op early. WHAT. Us being shocked said we’d just go double check with the DMV. Sure enough DMV said only $133 for registration. Not $426 like AAA said.
When in doubt sometimes waiting at the dmv is worth it. Hoping it was just a mistake.
Waited for 3 hours to transfer a title. Should have just gone to the DMV. Very unorganized and understaffed.

The wait is never too long and they offer a variety of DMV services which is super helpful (I’ve personally gotten a handicap placard, registration and title changes done here.)
Their staff is super friendly and won’t hesitate to help you fix a form or resubmit it ( Especially Christy - she was so nice and helped me redo my application.)

There was no sign at the front indicating the need to check in at the front desk. I had a title change so I went and stood in line by the automotive counter only to find out after standing in line for over 20 minutes that I need to check in first upfront. I said to the lady that there was no sign indicating that and she said yes there is. I went back up to the front desk and there was clearly no sign. I suggested they put a sign to tell people to check in there first and they all just sort of stared at me blankly like it was no big deal. Wasting my time is a huge deal! Not happy
Very disappointed at the Oceanside Vista Way location. Showed up on Saturday to pay my registration and they decided to close early for no reason. Apparently that office does this often.

They don't accept discover card yet they don't say that until it's time to pay and you wasted your gas money day and time just to go over there to pay your vehicle registration ransom
Member of over 46 years. I can't even explain how very disappointed I am in the service. Have not used it in years but today's experience in dealing with the operator and the tow service leaves much to be desired. And yes after 46 years I will have to rethink continuing my relationship

Went to renew my registration which of done for last 3 years , Leo the manager accuses me of changing the price a bought my vehicle for in 2020 and tells me to bring my title in ! I ask what going to change if I bring my title in and than tells me I should go to DMV . Great service

AAA is another place in Oceanside that I like. The people are friendly and helpful and you can get you DMV work done without having to go to the DMV. Except for Saturday mornings about 11:00. If you go then or anytime after that, be prepared to wait anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes.

For local members seeking travel, auto repair and purchase, or insurance information, going to the office gives a personal touch as well as data. Staffing is down from the previous level due, I assume, to the COVID pandemic. Wait times are longer, therefore. Those available agents are uniformly knowledgeable and helpful. Masks are not required for those fully vaccinated members.

I recently bought an rv, so I took it to my insurance company AAA to see how much it was to insure it they helped my fiance and I get a amazing rate on all 3 of our vehicles, helped with registration, moving permits plus much more. We love AAA. Won't go anywhere else again. We got AAA for life!

These guys cut out the dmv. Now I don't have to go to the dmv anymore. What a relief.
You have to check-in and wait outside. Both times we went was like a 40 minute wait time.
So as a Member for many Years! They could do so much Better. We all know Business Protocols have Changed. But Seriously, they could have chairs outside for clients waiting. They can hand out a Buzz/Call when they are ready to see the next Client. U have to wait for over an hour and can't use their restroom. They advise U to go to the DMV, when U R paying for a Better Service.
