The number of people in this office ready to tell you "no" about everything and forward you to their call center department is a gross waste of my monthly payments. I waited 25 minutes for an insurance person, saw my name switched to a DMV queue, clarified this change because I was concerned about what help I would get and was told that the insurance people needed to go to lunch and the DMV would have to help me. There was no help. They immediately told me they couldn't do anything and that I would have to call in over the phone.

As an organization, I think its asinine that I have to auto payment for every single individual policy on my account. I thinks its horrible that they are paying people to provide no support. And it makes no sense to continue to paying a monthly for customer service that is non-existent. The amount of money spent to cover worthless overhead is beyond frustrating. 15 years a member and when I finally needed help, I get the run around. I sincerely hate AAA and this branch really added insult to injury.

Dereck and another gentleman were incredibly helpful and welcoming. They answered all our questions, helped us fill out all the forms, and double or triple checked our work when needed; all with a smile. Our experience here was a prime example of what good customer service is, I'm happy to be a valued customer of AAA.

I’m writing this review for Micah on behalf of my mom. She was calling AAA this morning and had an amazing experience! She spoke with 2 different employees there and every one of them was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating; especially Micah. He was enthusiasticly assisting my mom to change the existing auto insurance and all my mom’s concerns about changing auto insurance completely resolved. Couldnt ask for a more professional and quick experience! I would highly recommend Micah and this location.

This particular locations has the best employees! "AJ" and "Kat" in particular! I was treated far beyond my necessary needs! Patience, compassion, humor and professionalism! This just made my day and helped because there is challenging parking at this location and the added pouring of rain was not helping. Being treated with such EXTRA care from these two employees was a sweet and comforting experience you don't often see in other organizations. Thank you AAA for having a fabulous crew of employees at this Almaden location!

The service quality at this and virtually all other branches have gone down hill drastically over the recent years. They focus more on boosting sales and profits than customer service, which is worse than horrible. The staff are poorly trained, unmotivated, rude, lazy, clueless, incompetent, or at best, apathetic and robotic. The management seems walk around with a business model "Do the Minimum". Overall, AAA membership is not worth the money anymore (low in value). I cancelled my membership a long time ago but still receiving unsolicited material trying to sell membership, despite my numerous requests to stop those junk mails.

Quick and easy DMV service...super helpful and nice staff

Tried to be as clear as possible when I called to ask about renewing my license at their location. Rep kept repeating "We can help with registration and renewal matters" like a bad AI bot. So I drove down but found out no, they can't do that. Thanks AAA great job.

This office is a joke! They lied to me several times about my account , and then they blame it on there computer system. Of course there mistakes are always in there favor! Don’t do business here , they have no honor or class !

Great AAA location ,they do DMV services which saves you the long wait times at the regular DMV..they also have a mecanic auto repair desk every they help you find a shop to repair your car ..never tried it ,but considering it's going thru Aaa,repairs should be more fair

Went to get international drivers license. Fast and easy. Great service.

The staff here were super helpful. We were visiting the area and needed some maps to help plan activities. They talked to us about what we were interested in doing, provided us with all the appropriate maps, and gave us suggestions and tips for our visit. All services came with a friendly smile!

Very easy to take care of my car registration payment. And any questions I may have .

Everyone is super friendly and efficient here! We have come twice to get an international driver’s license done for trips abroad, and both times they were very helpful!

The recording did not say I had to have a smog check done within 90 days to transfer the cars title. I suggested to the agent that they update their recording. But he didn't seem to be interested. Now we have to make another appointment after the smog check. 😔

On 9/29/23 at 9:12 am i showed up with to register the car I bought I came in with the bill of sale and a pink slip... I was told i needed other papers i left and call the previous owner... After the 3rd trip here at 2pm . I had proof the previous owners personalized plates were on another car that he owned by now...

I went there to get an IDP. The office was clean, well organized, and the staff very courteous and professional. And my IDP was processed super fast. Great experience overall.

I went to this place to renew my tags but had a very unhappy experience.

I was at this office today and I was disappointed on the way things turned after my check in. First, my name keep bouncing from 5 to 6, 6 to 4, 4 to 3 and 3 to 4. Finally I got called only to be send back to fill up the form with my name, address, phone number which did not take that long, maybe 2-3 minutes. The lady that was helping me immediately called the next person in line. This transaction lasted about 10-12 minutes. The she called the next person in line again instead of helping me. I had to wave at her for her to notice me but she still went ahead and served the person she called. I understand that they need to keep the line moving but I found this very annoying. She finally called me and was very apologetic about forgetting me. I could have been out of the office sooner if she would have just let me fill up the form which only took me 2-3 minutes instead of being stuck there for 20-25 minutes.

This is a rating for the individual who I dealt with when walking in. Not for the entire office. I was there to see if I could use DMV Kiosk that is listed on DMV website . If course he asked me if I was a member. Not at this time I'm not. Just want to use the kiosk. His response was , Oh it's under maintenance right now . Okay looks fine to me but he said if I was a member he could take care of my registration for me. So I looked at him and said basically what your saying is because I'm not a member I can't access the DMV kiosk ? Correct. So they use that to force people into becoming a member . I walked out of that scam but warning to others about this individual at the front desk. I could be wrong but I would think that anyone should be able to access those DMV kiosks. Member or not.

My wife asked me to stop by to renew our RV registration and by getting an online appointment to the Alamden office...it was in and out within minutes.
The best part is every AAA associate from the front door to the actual paperwork area were all truly customer service oriented from their hellos to the questions about what service needs completion.

Avoid the cluster at the DMV! This AAA office offers most services you would get at the DMV minus the long lines and hot mess of the Bay Area DMV's.

The number listed on Google is NOT this branch location but just a call center out of state. When I asked to be transferred to this branch’s DMV specialist, I was told that there are no branches for within 100 miles of the zip code 95037. So I had to give it them the address location from Google and then they eventually transferred me to someone in the claims department at another call center, after talking with 4 different employees, I still could not get through to DMV to ask a simple question if I can bring by proof of emission correction.. and I ran out of daylight before I gave up. My first time at the San Jose location I was treated very well. Greeted with the biggest smile in the world from the young lady who let me over to the second person another young lady who was just as Charming and very helpful. It won't be the last time I visit this San Jose AAA.

The lighting for passport pic set up is not adequate. My photos came out super dark with shadows on the face. The associate did not give me a chance to review them before printing. She was not willing to retake them. Please avoid taking passport pics here.

It is quick and easy getting through AAA for a car registration for the insurance

Clean facility with a knowledgeable staff. Most DMV matters can be handled in this facility. Saving you time and frustration. Great location but parking is limited unless you don't mind a little walk from where you park to the actual office.

The staff is rude and racist. I will never go to this branch. I recently moved to this area from Campbell where the staff was really good. I was trying to avail DMV services, made to come again. And next time also the same lady didn’t want to do it. I had to go to DMV office.

I love going here instead of DMV. The people are happy and helpful, actually seem to like working there. Monica and Lorri were very patient with me as I worked through the DMV forms to transfer my personalized license plate to a new car. The DMV forms need a lot of work, but they know the problem areas and help you. Note, every time I have visited this branch it is clean and well maintained. I managed a B+ on filling out the forms this time ;-D

This branch is amazing. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and professional. They've helped me multiple times with complicated DMV paperwork (transferring vehicle titles and registration from out of state, for example) and they've never given up; always succeeded. Highly recommend!

AAA is so wonderful for so many things but it is truly special because it has a private DMV inside it. I didn't have to wait. They handled things quickly. It was a wonderful experience. Worth being am AAA member for 23 years to use that service just one time.

Dmv services reg renewal

My experience was terrible. I began calling their office almost 2 weeks ago. I have called 4 times and have yet to get a call back. I have left my name and number with them and would really like to have them help me with my registration but I can't get in touch with them. Still waiting ...

I have been going to this location since they opened for all my dmv needs and folks here are amazing, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They all know their stuff and are rockstars. Branch is very clean and has a nice seating inside along with a coffee bar. Parking is normally hard to find right in front of AAA, as there are lot of restaurants around so it is always full.

On my visit here there was no wait, they quickly understood my non-trivial license plate swap, and the service workers were very friendly. Much better than going to DMV!

SAFEWAY ALMADEN & CHERRY: Much bigger store than Branham and Ross. Wider variety of products and a much more friendly environment. I'll be shopping here from now on. Branham & Ross store is unfriendly, mgmt stinks, products aren't as fresh and too many incompetent people
