Worst insurance broker in San Diego. Had them for years partnered with CA fair plan. Come to find out they made changes to their system this summer and suddenly that portion is no longer impounded...guess it was my job as a customer to know when companies change their system and assure policy numbers stay the same? They returned checks from our mortgage company and now want everything to be paid upfront all while refusing to send me the actual cancellation letter. What a helpful broker. Do NOT give them your business.
I canceled my car insurance with Allstate because I found the same insurance for half the price. But my email notification was never received. I was charged for my monthly premium. I called and talked to Cindy Contreras. She was by far one of the most helpful people I've ever dealt with. She was 100 percent transparent. And within a few days. I was reimbursed all of my money. In this day and age. It is really hard to find people who are completely honest. Most sales people I have dealt with are always trying to angle you for more money. Or they use their position in the company to try and obtain personal gains. That was definitely not the case with Allstate's manager, Cindy Contreras.

I will be holding these people all accountable once the situation is fixed with the appropriate state regulation agencies and whatever course they take is up to them. This company, in my case, seems to encourage fraudulent activities and I cannot recommend them to anyone.

Had previous insurances, however Joel hooked me up with All State and I have to say I was wowed by this experience. Great customer service 10/10 would recommend this location to any of my friends.

One day they sent a “third party” inspector out of the blue and said they were canceling our home policy because the BBQ was to close to the house and that our vinyl fence touched the house. We moved the BBQ and fixed the fence but they said ALLSTATE does not want to be in California anymore and does not want our business. Their office manager Cindy actually said this to us!! They were rude and refused to work with us. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR JIM KELLY.
I came here trying to find a lower rate because everyone else was charging me a lot . The guy , i think Joel was his name, helped me get my insurance down and got me full coverage. Highly recommend him!

If I could give them zero stars I would. This company is a total rip off. There's alot about this company that I could list but I don't have the time. I'm currently trying to discontinue my auto insurance with them but they're not answering the phone as usual and am waiting on them to call me back. I definitely wouldn't recommend these guys at all.
At 1st their all nice,with smiles. Then 6 to 8 months and they are all of a sudden mean and cruel to their customers. Apparently they don't need anymore business. The secretary is very rude and needs to be coached on, how to properly talk with customers. This place is a joke. You will never speak with Jim Kelly after your 1st call. He will duck and dogde you.. I agree with the one star comments I've seen on here. Honestly don't expect any business from them, they've said it themselves that the insurance company doesn't want any new business, and if they could leave California they would. The secretary also said herself that Jim Kelly doesn't talk to any customer, so don't expect to get a hold of him. We have been to this office a couple of times trying to get things done and all the do is sit in their desk eating or putting make up on and saying they can't do anything to help you. I've honestly only seen one guy in there actually working

Don't expect much other than coverage. It worries me to think how they would represent me in the event of an accident.
They're always emailing asking how they're doing and it's bare minimum. Literally once a week at least I get an email and I've tried contacting them but no one ever, and I mean ever, contacts me back.
Doubt this review will make a difference to their communication practices; however it may make you think twice before buying. I am actively shopping around.

Go somewhere else! After more than 15 years my HOA was dumped without warning. No explanation or justification beyond “no longer meets occupancy requirements”, yet nothing has changed in a decade. No help finding another insurer, no recommendations, no advice, no nothing. Won’t even return phone calls. Basically, too bad, so sad. Allstate has made tens of thousands of dollars insuring my HOA over this period, several times over a minor claim paid ten years ago. Makes no sense that we have been completely abandoned and are left completely on our own to seek a new insurer. I can no longer recommend Jim Kelly’s Team or Allstate for that matter to anyone. If Jim Kelly’s Team were ever to call me back with either an explanation or an apology, I would update this review.
She was friendly, I guess. She was courteous. She was attentive and energetic. She was a little bit passive-aggressive and was talking to my wife like she was a baby.
Joel was very helpful made getting insurance painless. Cheapest rates I've found anywhere. All the staff is very informative and friendly I appreciate them and will always call them for my insurance needs

Today was the first time that I have interacted with All State, and my experience went above and beyond my expectations! The customer service agent, Johnny Ramon, was on point. He was friendly, knowledgeable, informative, patient, and I truly felt he had my best interest at heart! It’s rare in this day and age to come across someone who can effectively and efficiently do their job in such a way that you were glad you had to make the call!

Terrible service tried to cancel my policy for 3 months they still charged me when I talk to my rep she ignored me and told me to call corporate. They owe me $46 and I got a refund check for 7.
Needed homeowners insurance for a recent purchase and in spite of being a LONG TIME car insured customer, I didn't seem to find it was of any benefit.

Prices are NOT COMPETITIVE!! Auto insurance is "ok" but FORGET homeowners.
They also charged my C.Card for policy on property that I DIDN'T BUY!!??
They fixed it right away but I didn't even know it had been charged!?? Only an inspection of the house revealed that I was on this.
What could have happened??
They (Patrick) was/were very helpful and all should be fine.
I feel that the office has gotten to big and needs Manager/overseers to assist in the process..

The person I bought my Homeowners Insurance from at the Kelly Allstate Agency is no longer there. I have questions about my policy but they dont return phone calls. The one time someone answered the phone, he promised he'd get the answer and call back which he never did. All I ever get is an answering phone, but they NEVER call back.
I finally got customer service on the line, but they couldent access my policy and reffered me to another number. That number couldnt access my policy either, so reffered me to one of their PREMIER agency's in the area to help me. The PREMIERE agency , as it turns out, doesnt do Homeowners Ins. and reffered me to another agent. I left a message on THAT answering machine, .........still waiting.
My advise, not only steer clear of the Kelly Agency , stay away from Allstate all together. Sombodys getting my money, but Ive NEVER had such run around. YOUR IN GOOD HANDS...............NOT!

Called And explained exactly what I needed and the employee said sure come in and see us, I arrived after leaving my office early at 3:30 and when I arrived the employee said I would need to contact the corporate office to make the changes. To busy eating lunch to help a customer. I drove down the street to the agent right down the road on Mission Gorge Rd. and the agent helped me with everything I needed in minutes. Extremely poor, poor customer service. Please save yourself the head ache and use someone else.
For My needs, The Staff at this Allstate office really went the extra mile to help me out. They know what they are doing. Treated me very well and with respect. The people you are stuck with on the phone are 75% of the problem...Can't get anything done! They should do random calls and make sure THEY can clearly understand the person on the other end. Oh My! Yup, Kelly Ins. is ok in my book! Thanks Bill and Staff for your kindness!
Customers be aware of this office!! They are nice at the beginning but then if you need any help, they will show you the other face !! Looks like they do not need customers anymore. I had the hardest time in my life with them. I called the office and asked to talk to the manager to address an issue with one of the agents, but they did not allow me to talk to him given some excuses!!
They gave me the highest premium I ever can get, NO advises, No friendly communication! I felt myself as I am in a court!!
The other very bad thing about Allstate company is that I called to change my agent on my account but the customer service told me that they can not do that over the phone and my current agent should sign a form for me so that I can switch! What kind of junk I stuck with? Definitely, I will cancel my whole policies and switch to different insurance company.

This agency don't care about any customers needs and wants the agents are plain rude the cut in when your talking they don't want to sell insurance that the customer wants they dictate what they will sell and if you don't like it they say tough go somewhere else they don't care what a customer wants they only will sell hi limit policy like 50k min or 100k. And roadside damage got to be 100k is a must with them they dictate dictate dictate and that's it. take it or leave it .not very helpful if you ask me.if your looking to buy insurance go as far away from dictated businesses all that matters to this particular agency is money.and how they can get more money from their customers.
I found Allstate employees were very helpful and had better rates then many of the other insurance agency
