Payton Frediani did an excellent job finding us an alternative to CalFair. Payton and Caldwell went to about 10 different insurers who declined (after our non-renewal of a mixed-use development). They worked this to the last day before we would have had to use CalFair and 2 other policies to obtain coverage and on the last day the quote came in. I really appreciate their effort and ability to communicate. A great firm and person to work with.

I had a commercial business policy with them for several years. The company that it was with sent me a non-renewal letter, I emailed them the same day. Never received a response like all the emails I have sent to them over the years. Then with almost no time left to find another carrier they started working on getting quotes. Then they tried to over value the property to get the rates up and finally lowered the value after much convincing from me, they wanted me to accept the new quote within hours of expiration of the policy. This to me is railroading.
I shopped elsewhere since I don’t have to have coverage.
They are not trustworthy owners either. From other personal experiences.
Yes Justin did reach out to me. One response said we do not have any carriers for your business and we only cover ones in the city limits, as if to say we don't need your business, however they offered the quotes I mentioned above, conflicting information.
Second response was more customer oriented saying they were sorry. He also said he was going to take my feedback constructively. This is what they need to do. This is a hand me down business and they have a lot to learn about business ethics and loyalty (hard work and not easy) so they can earn loyalty from customers. It is hard to prove you are good at business and easy to indicate you are not. Their auto policies are not competitive, they do not have coverage for my home or business so that is the summary. Attitude is everything for a business owner.
Update, all is well by staying away doing best without an agent and working with the company directly.

Unfortunately, due to all the CA fires, our insurance costs have multiplied 5x, so I’m exceedingly unhappy about that and anxious about being canceled yet again and getting more increases. Where will it stop? So, value is not something I’m happy with, however, your staff have been kind and made everything procedurally painless, which mattered a lot, due to the overwhelming financial pain.
I can’t comment on quality since I’ve never had a claim.

My first encounter with Glenn Caldwell Insurance was two or three days before backing out of purchasing a family vacation cabin. Six years ago I could not get fire insurance. My agent referred me to Glenn, who not only assured me of coverage but he also showed me how to use AARP to get even better rates. I'm happy I couldn't find insurance before, if I had gone with someone else I'm sure I wouldn't have been as happy as I am now. He insured our cars and other home, too. This group is honest, gives good advice and they are completely upfront. I highly recommend them! Our little cabin now enjoys the sounds of many grandchildren, dogs, and even a cat.
