Probably the easiest and most efficient way to broker insurance quotes from multiple companies, get into underwriting, and finalize on a policy. Warren walked me through all the steps and checked in regularly while we were waiting for finalization.

Inept or at worse liars. They had little grasp to generate accurate quotes during pregnancy. If you are pregnant don’t waste your time.

Please do not use this company, I called for a life insurance quote. The agent was so pushy and rude trying to get me to sign up for some third party company called brighthouse that has horrible reviews online (Google them) he was so aggressive about it even though I declined. So I asked about Pacific Life and the quote policy genius gave me was way comical! Way higher than other companies they clearly tack on a bonus for their rude and ignorant sales people who are the worst of the worst. They claimed the quote was so high and I quote because I was “fat” that’s literally what the sales rep said. Btw I’m 5”11 and in good shape. They also lied about my blood pressure and tried to claim it was high even though I have the results and it wasn’t. Do yourself a favor call SBLI or New York life and get a quote DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I honestly thought this was going to be bogus (I had never used a broker before), but they were great! I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but I had the same car/house insurance for over 15 years and didn't know I was supposed to shop around. I saved—no exaggeration—about 60% on my rates. Now, I recommend these guys to everybody.

They quoted me $3000 for 6 month policy for one car with Progressive. I did that same quote myself, all the same coverage with Progressive and it was $927...

Seems like every time I shop for insurance to compare rates or see if I can find something cheaper, I end up getting directed to a site which can search all insurance companies and recommend me a policy for my needs...and then that site gives my phone number and email address out to seemingly hundreds of agents who call and text and email me incessantly for months. It's a hassle that I hate and makes me not want to ever switch my policy although I know a cheaper alternative is available somewhere.

My experience with Policygenius was NOTHING like I've ever experienced before. I tentatively put my information in and waited for the barage of insurance emails, texts and calls...however all I got was an email back that said, I've got some options for you, let me know when you'd like to connect. One contact, no pressure, no hounding, totally willing to arrange a time that was convenient for both of us. I made the arrangements, got the information, requested some changes, got the updates and then had a call to make the switch. It was EXACTLY the experience I'd been looking for. I've now got great coverage at WAY less than I was paying before and they've got a customer and advocate for life! I can't recommend enough!

I had the pleasure of working with Christine at Policygenius. She was very helpful and walked me through the process of selecting insurance at my own pace. She was able to give me the best option and even reached out directly to my lender to make sure the coverage was enough. Buying a new home is stressful and Christine made this part of the process easy.

On 7/21/2024 they gave me a combined estimate of $3444 for auto and home insurance. I asked for an estimate for home only. Today (7/22/2024) they gave me an absurd combined auto and home insurance quote of $10,523! Are these people scam artists or the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.

I am a small business owner and needed disability insurance. I was referred to Policy Genius through a friend at my local chamber of commerce. My rep, Colin, was very thorough and the Policy Genius team were consistent in their follow up with me and made the process fairly seamless. I hope I never have to use this policy, but its comforting knowing that it's there should I need.

Easier process than going through a single disability broker off the street. My policy was in force after about a month of underwriting review but they didn't take out the first payment yet. Cheaper rate when I applied directly on "The Standard" disability company's portal.

Well, unaware as being a first Time home owner is important to look at your policy because this company put in their information that does not fit my property and charge me 2 1/2 years for a fireplace and a second garage and my home only had one garage and no fireplace. I reached out and they said that they computers cannot go back and generate a refund because it was 2 1/2 years and I just update the policy by calling in, I hope you guys open your eyes to this new thing that’s going on. I got screwed for 2 1/2 years and they don’t want to give me my money back. And this Policy was just updated May 2024 After I told them, something was wrong with the original policy, how blessed I am to know, high people and high places. Figure that out

Term insurance was very easy to get from policy genius. No medical exam and everything was an online experience and no paperwork.

The people at policy genius are knowledge, patient and ethical. They made the process of applying for life insurance go from overwhelming to easy. Could have navigated this process without them.

Bought two policies, never got my referral bonus for referring my wife. They got their commission so they don’t respond to emails anymore.

Excellent work. Look, insurance can be a frustrating and expensive experience but the folks at Policygenius made it as painless as possible. When my old life policy expired and the costs increased 11-fold (I'm over 70) they were very good on a new and far more reasonable one with another company. I found that firm myself (Pacific Life) and can't guarantee it's the best for everyone, but they agreed with my assessment, worked with me every step of the way, kept me informed of what they and PL people were doing, and wrapped things up when I got the new policy at a far better rate than the last one. It took time--11 weeks--but they did a lot to make sure I got there. I was very impressed with their professional service.

This was a terrible experience from start to finish. I couldn’t be more dissatisfied with the entire program. Your representative Eric didn’t listen to the information provided by my husband at the start, and then when talking to me- made it sound like my husband didn’t know. He then did not have my name spelled right, sent the application to an email address that was not mine. I had completed the additional information and then the next day would recognize another request for the same information. If that wasn’t bad enough. Between 4/19 and today 5/9 I had received 19 emails and 6 text messages in regard to this. I had to ask four times for my application to be closed, for my information to be deleted due to the excessive amount of ineffective communication. After the second time I was called to discuss why I felt the communication was excessive and emailed again in regard to that. After asking for the third time via email I was told I needed to request in writing to close my application. I don’t know how anyone could possibly read the following messages and think they needed to reach back out.

1: Please stop contacting me. I am no longer interested in this. I had answered the same question time and time again and would then receive another email asking to repeat it. The amount of ineffective communication is not something I have time for.

2: Please refrain from contacting me any further. I have clearly communicated this request twice already. I am extremely displeased with your company's conduct. Despite having already supplied the required information, you have inexplicably requested it again the following day. I must emphasize that further attempts to contact me constitute harassment. Cease emailing me immediately, erase my information, and remove my contact details from your records without delay.

Stop contacting me. I do not wish to hear from you, any of the underwriters, or anyone else no had any dealings with this. I have requested now requested for this to stop three times. My last email stating “Cease emailing me immediately, erase my information, and remove my contact details from your records without delay.“ was very clear and I do not believe warranted any further communication. It is harassment to continue contacting someone after they have requested that you stop.

Since 4/19 I have record I have received 16 emails (one from you today) 6 text messages and your call today (again after I said I didn’t want to be contacted. Any reasonable person would feel that’s excessive. I don’t care how many “notches” you have to back down, but the communication needs to stop.

I am under no circumstances continuing with my life insurance application. This is the third time I’m stating that very clearly. I would like my contact information and application deleted and to never hear from this company again. My preferred contact is none. Any and all further communication will be considered harassment and addressed as such.

This experience was terrible from start to finish. Your representatives do not pay attention to the details provided nor the request to cease communication.

Oh the icing on the cake, after the fourth request they asked me to complete a survey of my satisfaction, I’m more than willing to do so as I feel this cold be a beneficial learning experience for them. Since i tried and it didn’t work, I’m posting my survey results here; clearly 1/5 very dissatisfied.

Stay clear of them unless you enjoy providing the same information 16 times to people who don’t listen and continue to contact you after you request they stop.

Policy Genius has my home and auto bundled with Mercury Insurance Group for over a year now. I switched to PG when I bought a new home in Spring 2021.

The auto policy was up for renewal this fall and apparently my card on file was declined. Neither Mercury or PG notified me of the decline and my auto insurance was canceled without notice about 3 weeks ago. Which means myself and my family has been driving without insurance during that time. The only reason I'm aware of the lapse in coverage is because the DMV notified me of a fine I have to pay for letting my insurance lapse.

I've spent the last 2 days trying to get in touch with a policy genius rep unsuccessfully so far. And the renewal has to occur through PG (I can't make the change directly). I would say that their diligence in managing my policy as well as their response in resolving this issue is below normal expectations. I will change this review if they can follow up professionally.

I got to their site through Nerdwallet. However, I decided I would prefer to apply directly through the insurance provider. I was told my application would be canceled during a phone call, and they even texted this to me. The next day I received at least two phone calls and an email. They did provide a comparison of quotes that I found reasonable, but it did not match up with any of what I had originally seen on Nerdwallet, which I found confusing.

They were very easy to work with and a fast turnaround to get coverage. Stop thinking about it and do it to protect you family.

This entire concept is a scam. They promise fast policies, no exams, answer a few questions, etc. . . I saw one set of prices that are reasonable for my age and health history when I completed my application and history with them this morning. I started my day, returned a few hours later, and saw that the rates had jumped by $20 to $40 a month with no additional input, so I called. The long and short of it is that they now want a full medical background with my records and to take four to eight weeks to go through the underwriting and issuing process for a best-case scenario process of at least $20/month more than what I was quoted today. I'll go through an insurance agent I know and trust instead.

I have had a wonderful experience with them and they made things very simple for me in getting insurance. Any time I have questions, they promptly respond and help me make necessary decisions.

Found out about Policygenius through Nerdwallet, and they got me a great rate on life insurance the day I signed up within minutes! Thanks for the help. Definitely recommend their services! They review lots of options and compare all the prices on one page!

I had two problems here
1. The agent made me sign the application form which was actual life insurance application without even emailing me the quotes. Worst part she lied saying I need to submit the forms to get quotes and without that I cannot get any quotes at all.
2. i answered all their questions and gave them access to my medical record, yet the quote I got after that (PS which was reasonable and I wanted to pursue that quote) they say were inaccurate and I had to ask for quote again. Everything I am getting different quotes ( more than $50 change) and from different companies. I don't know how reliable my current quotes are as I'm worried if I tell them this is what I wanted (like last time) they will tell me it's not accurate. PS the quotes were just 3 to 5 days old which they say are not accurate any more.

I am deeply frustrated working with them.

I was able to get life insurance the same date and at a better price than other sites. I would definitely recommended it and would use again if I ever need any other type of insurance.

Shop elsewhere. If you end up not buying a policy through them, you will receive calls at all hours seemingly until the end of time. I'm ready to report them to the FCC for continually contacting me after requesting they stop. They keep using different numbers after I block them as well.

Tried to call to get quotes for a full set of insurances for me and my family. I have filled the form online with my info, and, literally SECONDS later, got an email and a phone call from their robot. I was told to wait to be transferred to "one of our insurance experts". Hang up after five minutes on hold. 15 minutes later, I get a call from an "Expert" who, after getting all the information ( bio, contact, and health history ), says that I will be contacted with quotes.
Ever since, I get an email every day from their robot with "login to see your quotes" but there are no quotes there. messaging their support resulted in an email with "we don't have your phone number or the necessary info for the quotes" ( even though the first guy I spoke with said he took notes and claimed that the conversation was recorded; as for the phone number, THEY CALLED ME ). Basically, this is either plain incompetence, or mocking their customer.

I got a quick Accurate friendly service from policy genius.I got quick estimates forAutomobile and homeowner policies and was able to select homeowner policy that met my needs. the quotes forAuto insurance were higher than what I am paying now so I did not switch.However I received information quickly and was able to make a decision right on the spot.

I created an account on their website to use their quote estimation tool. Within 10-15 minutes, before I was even done using this tool, I started receiving sales calls from them. I told them on the first call to not call me anymore, and they continued to do so, even changing phone numbers to try and reach me. This is like credit card collections and I would never willingly do business with an organization that is this desperate for sales.

If you don’t know where to start or feel overwhelmed thinking about the details that come with choosing life insurance, policy genius is as easy as it gets. They help you choose the policy you can afford and one that fits your needs. Customer service is excellent and premiums are so affordable it’ll be easy to pay them yearly if you wish.

Horrible experience. I started an application for Life Insurance over 4 weeks ago. The plan I was trying to get was a one that didn’t make you prove health. But the company asked me a host of health related questions anyway so I obliged and answered them honestly. About a week go by and now they want all my medical records from my primary care. The problem with that is he is no longer at the medical group that I used any longer. They have been bought out
(compass medical) and the doctor is now at a new group and was not able to take with him any of the patients medical records. I tried getting them but wasn’t able to. I did provide them with the lab report of my latest blood work as well as access to my therapist that prescribes 2 different meds to me but that wasn’t good enough. I get a call today by a rep from policy genius saying there is nothing they can do, I would simply have to re apply for a policy that WILL make me prove health. This is very misleading and disappointing. Not to mention a huge waste of my time for 5 weeks now. This Policy Genius is a bunch of amateurs and provided me with horrible service and mislead me. Go elsewhere. Trust me.

In 6/2021 became a customer and at that time things were fine but now the lack of professionalism is beyond frustrating. The fact is that right now this company has no respect for their client's time I have sent emails through their dashboard and no response is the result. I have called, waited and their automated system will disconnect you. I set an appointment to discuss quotes for renewal and after receiving an email confirming the time no one called!. There are choices out there and I am moving on to find a decent company.

Shopped home insurance with them and got a good quote started policy and what canceled from under writer. Policygenius can’t do anything to help seems like a huge scam. Guess they are only the middle men for the insurance companies but I wouldn’t have accepted if I knew they were just going to cancel. Home is under 15years old and only been in it a year.

Do NOT get a quote from them unless you want constant spam emails and texts non stop. Unsubscribing won't work. They will also spam anyone you specify as beneficiaries in the quote. Stay away from them.

My wife and I were looking to renew our life insurance policies. Our financial advisors both recommended Protective Life. Both of us were declined without any conversation. This is a terrible company. When the policy was first taken, they said they will make sure to keep you updated which was never done. Customer service is a joke. They don't answer phones and ask to send messages on the dashboard which goes unanswered for days. The insurance company (nationwide btw), does not cancel the policy and wants you to go through the agent!

Currently stuck in a limbo being tossed around like a ping pong ball! Still waiting for a call back or response to my dashboard message or email. Such a pain!

Use your local agents that are much knowledgeable and easier to reach than this.

I applied for a term life insurance policy via Policy Genius, at which time they paired me with New Haven Life in March and after FOUR excruciating months of them digging into my medical records (understood, as they should) and emailing me with questions about why I got bit by a tick, what were the outcomes of certain doctor appointments even though they should have known from the medical records, they denied me for coverage! I am a 41 year old healthy woman! The only health condition I have is asthma, which is why they denied me. They also stated I have myalgia, which I’ve never been diagnosed with in my life! This place is a joke. If they aren’t insuring healthy 41 year olds, then who are they insuring? They humiliated me during the underwriting process as well with all of their silly, demeaning, time consuming questions. I do not recommend Policy Genius or New Haven life!!!

Best insurance broker there is. I would recommend Dan to be your agent. He's easy to communicate with, fast to response and will definitely get you the best policy and rate you're looking for. If you're a non-immigrant like me, go with Policygenius because other insurance brokers will mark you and give you ridiculous rates.

I was very unsure of the whole process. Joe from policygenius was extremely helpful and fast! I put off getting a policy for so long, after speaking w/ Policygenius I had my policy in two days!

Worse than useless.

I spent the better part of an hour filling out the Policygenius forms online to get an estimate on an auto (three vehicles) and homeowners bundled policy.

The result? NOTHING was offered at all, and I was informed that no options were available.

I have excellent financials, an 800+ credit score, six figure income, no mortgage, a great driving record and have never made a claim on my homeowners policy - ever. Any risks associated with my home are typical.

Instead of a "genius", it was a huge waste of time.

Minus two stars.

My current insurance was increasing 45% on renewal. I called Policy Genius! Steve was very knowledgeable about homeowners and umbrella insurance and answered all of my questions. He provided quotes for 2 insurers and I accepted a "bundle" of auto/home to achieve a small increase vs 45%!!! Very satsified with their service.

They Sell Your Information!
I contacted these ppl for information regarding life insurance. They ask a bunch of questions, give you a quote (eventually). A medical examination is required apparently. So what if I don't pass? They ask for personal info, like your social security number, ages & who lives with you etc. Why do they need to know that before you're eligible??? Next thing I know, they're harassing my boyfriend into purchasing insurance also. I made it perfectly clear I was inquiring FOR ME & me only. They bombarded both of us via txt, phone calls & email relentlessly! Now he's getting mail sent here from a different insurance company!!! He is not interested, never was. They don't have his last name, so they used mine! I'm so ticked off, I refused to speak with them. Bottom line: use a more reputable company & make sure they don't sell your information. Don't give out any of yours either! Block, report & delete! Lesson learned. JUST DON'T!
