Been a happy State Farm insurance customer for over 8 years. Unfortunately, I decided to cancel today because I noticed that there was there was a $25 returned payment fee on my current bill. I called the office to ask them what it was about. The woman told me that it was a new policy started in December 2023 where any card payment that doesn't get processed for any reason automatically gets a $25 fee on the next bill. When I let her know that my wife's card was on AutoPay and that she had to get a replacement card recently, so the expiration date and three digit code was updated but I forgot to update on the State Farm website. So basically, if you have State Farm insurance auto pay and you accidentally forget to update a new or replacement card info, you will then get charged a $25 fee with zero flexibility to remove it, even as a one-time courtesy because the corporate system won't let them. The explanation was that it was my responsibility to read the policy update notice that came with the December bill. And I agree. But to not have the willingness to offer a one-time courtesy removal of that fee doesn't feel like good customer service. So I got a new policy with another company and cancelled same day. So for $25 they lost an 8 year customer. And it's a bummer, because up to now I've been super pleased with their service.

I absolutely horrible experience from beginning to end with this insurance company I have been paying you for months and months at $145 a month not even having so much as a parking ticket just like any other insurance company when you call and need them all you have is excuses I have full coverage and roadside assistance on both vehicles and could not even get a towed today had to pay for it myself and then they had me drive all the way to Murfreesboro to give me a worthless check that I cannot cash after I told them I could not cash a check with two people's name on it Joel you might need to be in the office a little bit more unless on the golf course
